We’re thrilled to announce that the first Ideas Lab of 2020 will be held in Manchester on 25 March – exact location coming soon.

The Ideas Lab gives passionate Foyer leaders, service managers and innovative thinkers a chance to get together with peers from the Foyer Federation network to share ideas, be creative and develop solutions.

It’s a great opportunity to bring your experience and knowledge, combine it with blue-sky thinking and challenge yourself to co-create a few practical, change-making ideas every service can use.

Reframing the problem

On the day, we’ll focus on key challenges commonly experienced in the network, ensuring the thinking, discussions and solutions are in line with real needs.

At the first Ideas Lab in March 2019, our attendees chose to address the question ‘How do you engage the hardest to engage?‘. The reframing resulted in the more Advantaged Thinking question of ‘Young people are already engaged, so how do we harness those interests?‘.

In London in September, the problem statement was ‘The number of young people who find and sustain work in Foyers is low.’ Reframing this to ‘How do we get young people to understand why it’s important to work?’ shifted the angle and sparked new ways of thinking. You can read all about it here.

How do I sign up?

There are only 25 spaces available, so make sure to secure your spot using the form below before 21 February – we’d love to see you there.

The sign-up form includes space to provide information about the subjects you’d like to cover. The more information you can share with us, the better!

If you have any questions, please contact Kate Russell at kate@foyer.net.
