Meet Alieu Fofanah

Meet Alieu Fofanah, our new Commercial and Enterprise Trustee, whose journey comes full circle as once he held the position of Head of Partnerships here at The Foyer Federation! Alieu brings a wealth of experience to our Board with his long-established connection to our mission, his understanding of Foyers, and the challenges young people in supported accommodation face.

Alieu’s deep-seated belief in the power of youth leadership was inspired by his journey and the challenges he faced as a young person, moving from Sierra Leone to the UK at a young age. These formative experiences instilled in Alieu a profound sense of empathy and drive to support young people on their paths to success.

“Thinking about the future, our young people are going to be the leaders of tomorrow so how do we set that up? We need to focus on it today.”

Looking ahead, Alieu's vision for the future is one filled with hope, innovation, and inclusivity – a world where young people aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow but the architects of positive change today. Championing the values of innovation, love, and maverick thinking, Alieu is committed to paving the way for a future where youth leadership shines bright.
