Service Overview:
Worthing Foyer offers a 29 bed project for 16-25 year olds, including 2 emergency beds, within walking distance of Worthing town centre and beach in a pleasant residential area. The Foyer is owned by YMCA Downslink Group and was opened in 1999. The service offers a positive environment, including the upgrading of resident bathrooms, kitchens, and plans to reshape the use of a ground floor office and training kitchen space.
The Foyer accommodation comprises furnished en-suite rooms with shared kitchen facilities in small clusters – either shared by three young people in the main building, or between two young people in the more attractive bungalow flats at the back of the building. The main on-site facility consists of a mixed communal area offering four computer stations, a ping-pong table, TV and lounge with sofa. There is also a training kitchen area which doubles as storage.
