Newhaven Foyer offers a 37 bed project for 16-25 year olds in East Sussex, owned by Salvation Army Housing Association. Opened in 1999, Newhaven Foyer was converted from a property for older people and housed on a residential estate opposite a nursery school.
The building’s 37 beds are mostly split between clusters of 4 or 5 rooms sharing a kitchen and bathroom, with 11 self-contained flats including 3 which serve as second stage move on. The building has training, office and meeting facilities, including a gym and a large resident room that is open 24/7. There is some garden and sitting space outside, with work to upkeep this led with young people.
