The Foyer Federation neither owns nor manages any Foyers in the UK. We exist to provide thought leadership, innovation and development opportunities to our network. We work with services to co-produce a range of projects and training for staff and young people.

Our initiatives are led through our network of member Foyers, which includes large housing associations, local housing providers and charitable organisations. They provide young people with mutually agreed, tailor-made programmes which gives them access to housing, learning, personal development, training and employment opportunities in line with their needs and goals.

There’s a lot we do, but a few things we don’t!

We are not:

  • Housing advisors
  • Legal specialists
  • Generic trainers
  • Funders
  • Policy experts
  • Local specialists
  • Providers of support or accommodation.

People aged 16-25 experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness can contact their local Foyer for support. The majority of Foyers currently require a referral, which usually comes from the local housing authority. In order to gain a referral, in the vast majority of cases, there is a need to demonstrate a local connection.

There are lots of ways to get involved with the Foyer Federation.

If you have any questions we have not answered here, we’ll do our best to help you. General enquiries can be sent to [email protected].
