The Foyer Federation – 25 Years; 25 Stories; 25 More

news-25-header

It’s Christmas, but not just any Christmas, it’s our 25th Christmas!

In 2017 the Foyer Federation celebrated its 25th anniversary, we welcomed our new Chief Executive, we held our first Foyer Awards evening and we showcased how talent bonds (small, personalised investments) have enabled young people to follow their dreams. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The Foyer Federation works with and through a network of over 70 Foyers across the UK. Foyers are transformational learning and accommodation centres for young people who are unable to live at home and who have often experienced significant challenges in their lives from family breakdown. Each year Foyers reach over 5,000 young people; they offer a safe home with trained, caring staff who believe in their potential. Entering a Foyer can be a pivotal point for a young person experiencing homelessness as it offers them a new opportunity to build their talents, assets and resources, despite the significant challenges they may be facing.

To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are showcasing 25 Foyer stories, demonstrating what is possible amongst young people experiencing challenges when smart investments are made in their future. We would love your help in creating (at least) 25 more.

Merry Christmas!
