SKU: pop001.

This guide has been designed for organisations who wish to create or enhance an employability programme for young people that brings together the resources and expertise of a youth organisation and a local, national or international business, employer or industry partner.

Drawing on learning and best practice from the Foyer Federation’s Pop Up Talent programme and our partnership with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, this guide provides organisations with the framework, knowledge and resources to shape an offer that works for young people.

There are four key sections to this guide, providing a framework through which meaningful engagement and development activity with young people can be delivered. Each section contains a range of
components, which the reader can pick and choose from depending on what works best for their given situation, capacity and resource:

  • PARTNER with organisations and stakeholders: Activities to better understand your partner and engage other organisations.
  • ENGAGE young people through innovative platforms: Essential ingredients and innovative delivery models for engagement work.
  • DEVELOP skills and talents through a bespoke learning curriculum: Modular elements that can be delivered to provide the content for your project.
