The Board is delighted to announce that after a rigorous recruitment process, Tokunbo Ajasa-Oluwa has been appointed as the new Chief Executive and will start on 6 February 2017.
Tokunbo brings a wealth of experience from the youth sector and beyond that will enable the Foyer Federation to build on the work led by Jane over the last 12 years and take Advantaged Thinking to a wider audience. Tokunbo led the Go Think Big initiative and most recently was Head of Innovation of the Bauer Academy. Trustees were excited by his commitment to innovation and his passion for transforming opportunities for young people across the Foyer network and beyond. The Board and staff look forward to offering Tokunbo a warm welcome when he starts on 6 February.
Jane will be leaving the Foyer Federation at the end of January and spending most of her new ‘free’ time with family and friends whilst continuing to pursue personal interests.
She says “My time here has been rewarding, sometimes challenging, but huge fun. The work our members do is awe inspiring. I will be leaving an organisation that is driven by its values, brimming with talent and potential and knows that the Foyer approach is more relevant now than it has ever been. I’m proud of the work we have done in developing and applying Advantaged Thinking within the Foyer network and through TrustYouth and, in particular, of the alternative approach to measuring the impact of the work our members do which is currently being piloted. I have every confidence that the network and our wider stakeholders will continue to transform the lives of another generation of young people”.
The Foyer Federation’s Chair Andrew Croft said:
“This appointment follows a highly competitive process and we are looking forward to working with Tokunbo who brings a strong track record in commercial income generation and building teams. Tokunbo has the confidence, enthusiasm and drive to build on the Foyer Federation’s recent achievements and our current business strategy, and to grow the Advantaged Thinking movement. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jane for her considerable contribution in the past 12 years during which time she has been the living embodiment of our values: authentic, loving, brave, maverick and savvy. ”
